BEER GARDEN
The Rumor Gardens
We are proud to feature what we think is one of the top beer gardens in the state. Featuring over three dozen different species of trees, shrubs, and flowers, our garden is a hot-spot for hummingbirds, bees, lizards, and a variety of happy birds. Come grab a drink and wander around!

Our trees

Ponderosa pine. This mammoth pine tree dominates your view as you come to the brewery. It towers 80 feet and we think it is about 60 years old!

Oklahoma Redbud. We planted this redbud in the fall of 2016. Its growth was stymied when we built the porch cover in 2018 but its canopy is now above the roofline. To the sky we grow!

New Mexico Privet. These privets were about 1 ft tall when we planted them in 2016. Keep your eyes out for birds who love to rest in their maze of branches.

Box Eldar Maple. Planted in Spring of 2022, this maple will one day be an amazing shade tree!

Aspen. We planted this aspen in the summer of 2022 and it was about four feet high at planting. Watch her grow!

Chinkapin oak. Although this is a faster-growing variety of oak, it will still take many years to grow into a large tree. But it is already producing cute little acorns for the wildlife to munch on. Planted October 2022 - about 6ft tall.

Cottonwood. We transplanted this cottonwood from the arroyo behind the brewery. It wasn't getting enough water and was somewhat sad. But she is ample and healthy in her new home on our upper beer garden. Planted sometime in 2019. She died to the soil from an unknown reason in the fall of 2020 and has since recovered.

Lavelle hawthorne. This small tree produces beautiful white clusters of flowers in the spring, which turn into vibrant red berries in the late summer. Planted spring 2022 - about 5ft tall.

Sunburst honeylocust. We planted this tree for the primary purpose of providing excellent shade in our upper beer garden. That said, she still has very interesting color patterns throughout the seasons. The box at the base will be removed once she is big enough to take abuse from the feral children who tend to hang out around here... Planted summer 2021 - about 6ft tall.

Vitex or chaste tree. This tree produces beautiful violet clusters of flowers in the spring and has an interesting bark pattern. Planted summer 2022 - about 4ft tall.
